Ofer Shapira and Matan Wallin successfully represented the Madnet company in the appeal it filed with the Supreme Court for the attempt to attack its winning in the hearing aid tender of the Klalit Health Insurance Fund, which was worth tens of millions of NIS annually.
The appeal revolved around the determinations of the district court regarding the interpretation of the Ministry of Health’s circular on which hearing aids from the elite group should be offered in the tenders of the funds. In addition, appeals were filed by other bidders for the rejection of Dent’s bid.
The Supreme Court accepted the appeal from Dent and General and overturned the rulings of the district court and adopted the interpretation from Dent and General to the Ministry of Health circular. The appeals of the other bidders were rejected. This paved the way for Madnet to win the tender.
