Tamir Afori and Shay Glick Represented 6 regional radio stations in a lawsuit filed by ACUM, in which ACUM requested that the court approve a model of royalties’ collection, which means raising the royalties that radio stations pay to ACUM by hundreds of percent. At the end of the proceeding, the court accepted the claims of the radio stations that was represented by our firm, and rejected ACUM’s lawsuit. Rejecting the royalty model is likely to have a significant impact on all the broadcasters in Israel, as well as on other organizations that rely on ACUM’s royaltys’ models, including organizations representing screenwriters and directors, performers and record producers.
