Partner Eli Cohen successfully represented Mekorot in a lawsuit filed against the company by municipal water corporations, demanding that the principles of a court-approved settlement agreement also be applied to them.
The court dismissed the claim in a precedent-setting ruling, finding no justification for applying the settlement principles to the prosecutors while dismissing their claims of discrimination and bad faith.
This ruling is of great importance to Mekorot, as it means that the principles of the settlement agreement will not be applied to municipal water corporations and/or local authorities that were not part of the agreement, saving Mekorot the high costs involved.
