Congratulations to our client, FuGen AG, on the recent two-stage closing of their renewable energy investment fund, on which we had the pleasure to represent them. In the first stage, Shibolet represented FuGen AG, the Swiss infrastructure company, in its financing round. Shibolet additionally represented the private Israeli investor, Arkin Holdings, who invested in the European renewable energy company in a deal worth hundreds of millions of Euros.The deal is unique as it incorporates complex international infrastructure, financing, and corporate governance concepts under the Israeli, Swiss and Swedish laws, with the Shibolet team leading the way. Partners Ido Shomrony, Alon Ziv together with the associate Tslil Handelman represented the companies on this investment.In the second stage, our team represented FuGen AG and its subsidiary (as general partner) in the structuring and forming a EUR 320 million renewable energy investment fund with a focus on wind power renewable projects in Scandinavia (particularly Sweden). The deal attracted investors including Menora Mivtachim Group and Migdal Group as well as Arkin Holdings. The Shibolet team led the deal and worked together with local Swedish teams in relation to foreign law. Partners Ram Spektor and Alon Ziv together with the associate Esther Reuveni represented both FuGen AG and the general partner in the deal.
