“The export control regulations need to be updated to better reflect their goals, in light of the changes that are taking place in the world and in technology,” says Naama Margolis, a partner at the Shibolet & Co. law firm. “A more profound change than what was planned is needed. Companies need to be competitive – and competitiveness is also a matter of the effectiveness of legislation and regulation.”
“There are companies who arrive with the glamor of Silicon Valley,” Mor concludes. “But in the end, everyone’s playing on the same field, and nobody can escape these rules.”
